support
The usual questions first. If yours is not here, write to support@loopware.app.
connecting
- Do I need Tailscale or a VPN?
- No. Your phone and your Mac connect through Void's relay, encrypted end to end, from any network. If you already use Tailscale, Void works over it too.
- The phone says it cannot reach my Mac.
- Check that the Mac is awake and online: Void cannot wake a sleeping Mac. Check that the Void Mac app is running, in the menu bar; on the Mac,
voidd statusalso says whether the helper is running and connected to the relay. If you pair over Tailscale instead, check that it is on, on both devices, with the same account. - Pairing says the code is wrong or expired.
- A code works once and expires after five minutes. Show a new code in the Mac app, or run
voidd pair, and scan it. - Can someone else reach my Mac through the relay?
- No. Your Mac answers only a phone whose key it stored when you paired, or a phone that holds the one-time code while it is open. Everything else is refused before it reaches the helper.
- Typing and approving are off.
- Void says why on the prompt line. Void can read sessions in any terminal, but it types and approves only in tmux or kitty: start your agent with
tmux new -A -s work, or turn on kitty's remote control as the Mac setup page shows. - How do I remove a phone from my Mac?
- In Void, Settings, unpair this device. Or on the Mac,
voidd devices revoke "iPhone".
alerts
- Alerts do not arrive.
- Alerts are part of Void Pro. Check that notifications are allowed for Void in the iOS Settings, that the Mac is awake and the helper is running, and that you are signed in to the same Apple ID that bought Pro.
- Can I keep the text of an alert private?
- Yes. In Settings, set alert detail to generic. The alert then says only that a session needs you or is done. With full detail the text is encrypted on your Mac, and the relay that forwards it cannot read it.
Void Pro
- I bought Pro but the app shows free.
- Open Settings in Void, then void pro, then restore purchases. It needs the Apple ID that made the purchase.
- How do I cancel?
- On your iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions, Void Pro. Apple handles billing, so we cannot cancel it for you. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- How do I get a refund?
- Request it from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides refunds.
- Does Family Sharing work?
- Not for Void Pro.
- I have a code.
- In Void, Settings, void pro, redeem code.
voice
- Where does my voice go?
- Quick commands and dictation with the voice bubble are understood on your phone, and that sound never leaves it. A conversation with Concierge goes through your Mac to OpenAI's voice service, with the OpenAI key you set on your Mac. The privacy page has the details.
- Can a voice command approve something?
- No. A voice can open screens and change a session's model or effort. Approving, running, closing and sending always take a tap.
about Void
- What does Void keep about me?
- See the privacy page. In short: no account, no analytics, and your sessions are encrypted end to end, so the relays we run cannot read them.
- Is Void made by Anthropic or OpenAI?
- No. It is an independent app that controls tools you already run on your Mac. Those names belong to their owners.
